      Queen of Heaven Parish and Catholic School 60th Anniversary!

      Calling all Queen of Heaven Knights, School Alumni, Families and Friends!
      Can you believe it? Queen of Heaven Parish and School will be celebrating the school’s   60th anniversary on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, 2014! We are trying to locate as many of Queen of Heaven’s past and present students as possible so PLEASE pass this along.
      The series of celebrations will start with a dinner/dance at the Marriot Uptown on Friday evening at 6pm, a golf tournament on Saturday morning and will end with the 4:30 Mass in the church followed by a meal and music by a DJ.

      Dear Parents,
      It is good to be back at Queen of Heaven after a week in Denver.  I just want to give you an update on our school schedule through Easter break.
      ITBS testing will continue through this Friday, April 11th
      Ms. Susan Murphy, Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe will  be visiting Queen of Heaven tomorrow April 9th
      Thursday, April 10th  PTO Meeting 6:00 p.m. in the school - All parents are encouraged to attend
      Friday, the Living Stations will be presented by our Middle School students at 2:00 p.m. in the Church.
      Our third Sunday collection is March 12th and 13th.  This was moved to this weekend due to Easter.  Please make an effort to have your children assist with the collection at the Mass you requested.  If you are able to help sell tickets to the 60th Anniversary dinner following the Mass you will be attending, please see me when you arrive prior to the Mass.
      Monday, April 14th the Living Stations will be presented for the parish by our Middle School students at 7:00 p.m. in the Church.
      Wednesday, April 16th St. Pius will be hosting the annual Hunger Project.  All of our students will  be participating in this wonderful event.  Information and permission slips are being send home tomorrow (Wednesday, April 9th).
      Thursday, April 17th Holy Thursday 1:00 p.m. Dismissal.  After Care will be provided.
      April 18th - 21st Triduum and Easter Break
      Tuesday April 22nd School Resumes.

      Thank you to those of you who were able to attend one of the parishes yesterday to support Queen of Heaven recruitment efforts.
      Raffle Tickets for the 60th Anniversary will be available this week.  We will send home the tickets for your family.
      60th Anniversary Update…Save the dates – May 9th and 10th
      May 9th – Dinner Dance/Auction at the Uptown Marriott beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets are available in the school office.
      May 10th – Parish Mass at 4:30 celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the parish and school followed by a Bar B Que/Music by an alumni DJ and 60th Anniversary Raffle Drawing at 7:00 p.m.

      --  Each year we are required to publish the following notice. The Archdiocese of Santa Fe and Queen of Heaven Catholic School comply with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) by providing access for the review of the Management Plan at this school.  The Management Plan is kept in the Principal's Office and will be updated as various situations develop and inspections are completed.  Arrangements may be made with the Principal of the school for the review of these materials.  Any questions may be directed to the Principal of the school or to the Executive Director of General Services at the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
